I have found a solution for windows 10! So the options.ini file creation does work. However, in anticipation of this, I’ve been doing some research on solutions for getting Battle for Middle Earth II running on Windows 10.Ī user called Lisulis posted this solution in the Windows help forum:

Unfortunately it does not come with an optical drive, but I’m going to get an USB-one very soon, so that I can install this game. Since then I have purchased a new system and that one is running Windows 10.

So the game actually runs on Windows 10 with Lisulis fix. Tried launching the game a few minutes a go and tested a skirmish. I tried the solution further down in this post and it worked for me right away. Holy smokes, it has been a long time since I wrote this post, but finally I have an update.
